Client Extranet

Our client extranet is a staging area on the Internet where we grant access to previews of our work in progress for your approval. This provides a means for you to keep up with the development of a project without the need for unnecessary trips to our office. The client extranet is password protected to shield it from being seen by others, and your project is never shared with other clients. In addition to previews of the work we are doing for you, the client extranet also provides a comprehensive system of links to the different stages of your project.

For information on email, webmail services or how to log on to our client extranet, email us at: support@macropixels.com.

DNS Transfer Instructions

DNS servers are only as effective as their dependability and stability. At Macropixels we both understand that and employ it as our practice.

We will be hosting your site on our trusty servers here at Macropixels. When transferring your site to our servers, the domain registrar will need to be notified, and we will provide you with the corresponding web addresses where your domain registrar will need to point (See below for a full set of links to the different domain registrars and their instructions for transfer). Keep in mind that updates on the systems of domain registrars typically take around 3 days, and it will take a bit longer for all of your new information to be completely established on the internet.

Domain Name Registrars:

Macropixels, Inc.
Enom, Inc.
DomainDiscover
Melbourne IT
Dotster, Inc.
BulkRegister
DomainBank
NameSecure.com
Register.com
VeriSign

Additionally, www.macropixels.com provides a service that can help you locate your domain registrar should you not have that information available. Use the ‘Search WHOIS’ function on the site by entering your domain name, thus locating your domain registrar.

PLEASE NOTE: The instructions provided herein might not apply directly to your particular email client. It will depend largely on what version of the given software you are using and also what platform or operating system you are using on your computer. For the most consistent information, we recommend consulting the documentation you received when you purchased the software.

FTP

The system of file transfer known as FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a widely used platform that allows you to exchange files from server to server in a timely fashion with little error. There are several FTP programs available for users, and although the functionality is the same for all of them, the methods of usage and setup are different. Keep in mind that if you are using an integrated HTML editor such as FrontPage or DrumBeat, the FTP feature is built into your application. There is also a process available that will allow you to FTP through your web browser.
